With the foundation of Nelson Bróker Inc., Nelson entered the Hungarian financial market. The brokerage activity provided the first stable business pillar, creating a strong foundation for the diversified growth that followed.

In the capital-deficient Hungarian economy of the time, leasing quickly became a sought-after form of financing. Our founders recognized this opportunity and launched their leasing services specialized in vehicles and equipment. In the long term, this business line became one of the key pillars of the group. 

We entered the agricultural sector with arable crop production and planting more than 100 hectares of orchards, which laid the foundation for the long-term presence of agricultural business activities in the portfolio.

Our real estate market activities initially focused on the construction of warehouses and cold stores, then expanded to include the development of condominiums and residential parks with 40 to 80 apartments. Investments at Lake Balaton, Székesfehérvár, and Budapest are now associated with the brand name "Admirál", which has since become a synonym for quality and reliability. 

With the establishment of Nelson Biztosítási Alkusz Zrt., the group opened up a new business area in the insurance market. The services focused on the needs of small and medium-sized companies, successfully strengthening Nelson's role in the financial sector. 

The launch of our accounting services also responded to the needs of small and medium-sized companies, providing a stable and predictable source of income. It quickly contributed to the expansion of our customer base and the establishment of long-term business relationships based on trust. 

With the acquisition of Bond Pénz és Értékforgalmi Zrt., our group entered the pawnshop business and launched jewelry sales and precious metal trading activities. In addition, with our factoring services, we supported the financing needs of corporate and retail customers.

Nelson Flottalízing Kft. grew out of the leasing activities and became an independent company. Operating under its own management, it achieved dynamic growth by focusing on small and medium-sized companies and building personal customer relationships, thus, successfully competing with the multinational players of the market. 

Nelson proved their resilience during the global economic crisis of 2007 and 2008. Thanks to its conservative, crisis-proof operation and proactive portfolio approach, the group weathered the difficult period in a stable and successful manner. 

By this time, we were farming 4,200 hectares of land using modern technologies. The establishment and development of intensive fruit plantations also began, marking it the strongest period of our agricultural activity. 

The Nelson Group became the owner of a 6.5 MW solar power plant, which generated several times the company's total energy consumption. The investment was an important milestone in our commitment to sustainability and environmental consciousness. 

Our portfolio was extended with system operation, software development, and IT consulting services. These not only supported the digitization of the Group, but also ensured high-quality solutions for our external customers.

Nelson made a significant investment in its Euro Sytrol factory in Satu Mare, Romania. The financial contribution modernized packaging material production, which increased both the production capacity and our regional competitiveness. 

Crowning nearly 20 years of successful operation, the group sold its fleet management business to AutoWallis. The transaction marked a milestone, as Flottalízing Kft. was one of our strongest and best-known brands. However, the sale made it possible to set new strategic priorities.

Nelson Group entered the Croatian boat rental market, literally connecting us to the idea of operating in a "fleet”. Being involved in the charter business opened up new opportunities in tourism, while letting us sail our first miles in a new sector in our international expansion.
